Welcome to my site.

Did your first menopause symptoms ease you into to it or did they hit  you  with a bang!! Are you feeling emotional and experience mental fatigue.

I hope you can relate to some of my experiences and know you are not  alone.

I have been struggling with menopause for 4 years now, and as you can tell by the name I used for my site, I have had and are still having  symptoms that even doctors don’t now about! I am on the better side of things now.  So hopefully I’ll have some useful tips and suggestions that will help and comfort you on your journey through this time.

I was 44 when  I  started menopause.  I brought a quick pregnancy test from the chemist just to confirm that  I wasn’t pregnant! My first symptom was the hot flushes which were the mildest symptoms I had. They didn’t last long, unfortunately I was in for more than that.  I’d read that thinner people can get the worst symptoms, which was true for me, as I am only 50kgs.

I noticed the first anxiety attack when I was just sitting watching TV,  before this I didnt know what they were. I went light headed, my heart started pounding,I’m sure I must have gone very pale and I became very aware of my breathing.

I learnt to talk to myself and say”Its OK just relax, its only a feeling”.   And realising that most of how I felt were just feelings and  not so  much physical helped me cope with the attacks.

If you can say to yourself  “this is menopause and its a feeling”. Maybe it could help you to!! My worst days were when I felt  so sad, depressed and  the constant battle going on in my head, with the two voices, the bad one saying, hope I am not going to die, then start feeling panicky, the good voice    saying its OK its menopause.

And yes I did start to see how people can get suicidal, I just got so sick of feeling so down, and sad for no reason. But the good thing  was, I  was menopausal and knew it!!

Imagine if I went to the doctors and told them how I felt, they would have put me on anti depressants and who knows what else!!!!

When I had nothing to be depressed about why should I go on those. NO way, again it was bad menopause symptoms

NOTHING ELSE

I keep up with my natural remedies and  try different ones when I need to because I know they help so much.
